As published in the Times of India, the Police arrested A. Raju, and his wife Jayabharathi for allegedly murdering a pawnbroker and stealing ornaments valued at Rs 1.60 crore from his safe in Madurai on August 21, 2010. The accused smothered the victim with a pillow and slashed his neck.
