Chennai: Bank official defrauds bank of Rs 11 lakh

As reported in the Deccan Chronicle, a resident of Bhavani Nagar in Velachery has allegedly defrauded the bank of Rs 11 lakh. The accused Pazhani Guru, working as an assistant at a private money exchange bank on Greams Road forged the signatures in the cheque and absconded with Rs 10.9 lakh.  A compliant has been registered in this regard and police is on a hunt for the accused.
